Darius Kaufmann has been a professional piper in the tri-state area for 15 years, playing for weddings, parties, church services, corporate events, social occasions, performances and recordings. He also performs traditional Irish & Scottish music on Irish whistle, flutes, bodhran (frame drum) and shuttle pipes (smaller, softer bagpipes). He has performed with Sinead O'Connor on The Tonight Show and NBC Today, and recorded Irish whistle with Tom Chapin on the Grammy-nominated CD 'Around the World and Back Again'.

Darius has been a member of several competition pipe bands in the N.Y. area, including the Glen Rock Pipe Band, Inis Fada, and the Monaghan Pipe Band. He has competed in both solo and band competitions at Irish and Scottish games throughout the Northeast. In 1998, he performed 'Amazing Grace' as part of a nationally televised advertisement for the Winter Olympic Games, and his piping was has been heard on NBC's Late Night With Conan O'Brien.
