| A tribute to The Band, best known for such hit songs as "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" and "The Weight". The mission of The THE BAND Band is to present the music of The Band in a manner true to its original style and form, evoking the sound and the spirit of their live performances; to perform their songs for longtime fans as well as a new generation of listeners; and to have fun doing it. The five members of The THE BAND Band are seasoned veteran musicians who have played both locally and nationwide for over 30 years. All are multiinstrumentalists, and all sing. They share a love for the music of The Band, and formed this tribute band for the sheer enjoyment of playing their songs. By covering all the well-loved favorites, as well as a broad selection of lesser knowns, they showcase the astounding breadth and depth of The Band’s music. |
